Maruti Suzuki, the 2015 version of S-Cross was the first of its kind but it could not achieve success in terms of sales. It is believed that due to high prices and unattractive look it happened.

So after 2 years, Maruti decided to make some changes in it and tried to present S-Cross with a more strong look. So is it better than before? Or is the old wine in the new bottle?

The first thing you look at is a bigger, stronger and more attractive Front Grill. Vertical grills remind you of BMW. Although it is different from the cascading Horizontal Grill in fashion nowadays. The new look makes this car special and is better than the previous version. Instead of a plastic looking front, more emphasis is now on met.

The bumper is fully redesigned and looks more chrome near the headlamps and fog lamps. Earlier, Maruti was notorious for not paying much attention, but with the Nexa range, the company has tried to change it, especially with this car.

The 2017 S-Cross has a new headlamps with LED, its look is even better. Alloy Wheel design is brand new. Tires are also much wider than before. Although the side and back, look is almost the same as before.

S-Cross looks new from outside but inside it is the same on inside. Central arm-rest now has a new leather finish. The top model has leather seat. Plastic quality is better than before. And now it has a 7-inch infotainment system, which is being installed in the other cars nowadays.

Casual amenities include keyless entry, push start-stop button and automatic climate control. Top models also have auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers.

Company claims 25.1 kilometer per liter mileage. Although the car we ran, we gave an average of about 15 kilometers per liter.

The 1.3 liter engine is similar to that of Ciaz and Ertiga. DDis Motor also has Maruti Smart Hybrid (SHVS) technology. This technology is less emission and more fuel efficient. The expected cost of the car can be Rs 8-11 lakhs.
