Richa was born in Punjab, but because of Khalistan Movement, her parents settled in Delhi. At that time Richa was only one and a half years old. After this, Richa's entire childhood was spent in Delhi. She completed her school and college studies in Delhi itself. Richa came to Mumbai to do PG Diploma in Social Media. Richa's parents wanted her to become a TV journalist.
The actress made her mark in films. Richa made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oi!' from the film. Before she starter her career as an actor Richa used to work as an intern and she wanted to do Abhay Deol for her magazine, but he refused. Later the coincidence became such that Richa Chadha made her debut with Abhay Deol.
Richa Chadha got fame in Bollywood by her role in 'Gangs of Wasseypur'. Her character was very strong in this film. He also made headlines for 'Gangs of Wasseypur' as much as Manoj Bajpayee or Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Interestingly the actress played the role of Nawazuddin in the film. The actress also received Filmfare's Best Actress Critic Award.
Richa recently got married to Ali Fazal. They reportedly started dating in 2015. Richa was the first one to confess her love to Ali. The actress spilled the beans on how she did it. Richa shared that they were watching a film called Chaplin starring Robert Downey Jr. She was glad to have found someone with similar tastes as Ali enjoyed the movie.
