National Award-winning film 'Village Rockstar' will be taught in schools

The film 'Village Rockstar', which has won four National Awards, has appeared in the course of class VII of Assam. In addition, it has been introduced in English as a text called 'Dhunu ka Guitar'. The film won the National Award for Best Feature Film, Editing, Audiography, and Child Artist. The film also represented India at the 2019 Oscars. Sharing her excitement, the film's director Reema Das said, 'My father was a school teacher and my mother used to run a printing press.'

She further said, "I was also preparing to become a teacher. I come from a family that has contributed a lot in the field of education. Of all my achievements, my greatest achievement is that which my parents would be most proud of. The entire team of the film is very happy." Reema further said, "I am very happy that the children of Assam will have this new idea. In it, they can see some glimpses of my filmmaking. I hope to see a new generation of Assam filmmaking. Thanks to the Toronto International Film Festival who showed confidence in me by keeping the premiere of 'Village Rockstar'"

It is being told that 'Village Rockstar' has also knocked on Netflix on 15 January 2020. The film became a part of 80 film festivals around the world and has also won 44 awards. In addition to the story, 'Village Rockstar' depicts the story of 10-year-old Dhunu who lives in a village in Assam and comes from a very Vinram background. He dreams of buying a guitar.
