Renowned entertainment actress Rimi Sen made her mark by working in comedy movies. Rimi is celebrating her 40th birthday today. Rimi was born on September 21, 1981, in Kolkata. Rimi has acted in many great films like Hungama, Dhoom, Baghban. But now Rimi has said goodbye to the film industry. He had recently cited the reason for leaving Bollywood in an interview.
The same Rimi started working as a child artist. She has made a name for herself in Ad and modelling. She made her Bollywood entry with the film Hungama. The film proved to be a hit. Even after working in many great films, she bid farewell to the industry. In an interview, Rimi Sen had said that acting gives you good money with fame. I can survive for nearly 10 years because of my acting career and I always respect it. People call you to cut ribbons at the event and the stars get good money. It was because of my film career that I became a producer. I did it at the age of 20. All this happened only because I was a supposed face to go. Rimi confessed that acting was not her passion.
Rimi also revealed that I bid farewell to Bollywood because I was tired of playing a glamorous pot in films. It was very boring when you were used to a glamorous prop. You were asked to cry fake in the background while the hero was on centre stage. I want to come back not for survival but for movies I can choose and say, I am proud of myself. Rimi said that I am proud of my movies Johnny Gaddaar and Sankat City but these movies did not do good business. Thankfully, now the filmmaker and the audience have a different vision. She also pays attention to content. People are now admissible to new ideas.
