New Delhi: The season has not been good yet for Delhi Capitals (DC), who have performed well in the last two seasons in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022). DC played their third match on Thursday and lost by six wickets. After this defeat, captain Rishabh Pant looked extremely disappointed and said that the team had scored 10-15 runs less, which had to be borne in the form of defeat.
The match was quite different, with all the batsmen except Prithvi Shaw and Quinton de Kock appearing to be struggling on this pitch. For Delhi Capitals, Shaw scored 61 off 34 balls, while for Lucknow Super Giants, de Kock played a whirlwind inning of 80 off 52 balls and got man of the match. DC posted a score of 149 for three in 20 overs, and Lucknow Supergiants achieved the target by scoring 155 runs for the loss of four wickets in 19.4 overs.
After this match, Pant said, "If there is dew like this on the field, again and again, you can't complain about it. As a batting unit, we were 10-15 runs short. In the end, Avesh Khan and Jason Holder bowled brilliantly to give LSG a comeback. The credit for that goes to them. When we were coming down on the field, we said that by the 40th over of the match, we will give our 100 per cent, no matter what the result. The powerplay was right, we didn't get any wickets, and our spinners did brilliantly in the middle. In the end, I will only say that we were 10-15 runs short.''
