Dharamshala : A two-day Rising Himachal Global Investor Meet will begin in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Global Investor Meet. The Prime Minister has been scheduled to reach Dharamshala at around 11 am. Ambassadors of many countries, investors and delegates from abroad have reached Dharamshala.
Apart from PM Modi, Union Minister Prahlad S. Patel, Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur, Sikkim CM Prem Singh Thomang, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Rajiv Kumar will also be present at the Global Investor Meet. Apart from this, industrialists including Procter and Gamble managing director Madhusudan Gopalan, Hira Corporate Service's Sunil Kant Munjal, Pranav Adani of Adani Enterprises have also reached.
In the Global Investor Meet, investment proposals of about 82 thousand crores will be approved in all sectors including four big sectors. So far 583 MoUs have been signed. In this, investment is expected to be Rs 27,812 crore from 15 MoUs of energy, 14,955 crores from 192 MoUs for tourism, 13,682 crores from 207 MoUs of industry and 12,277 crores from 32 MoUs for housing. The Himachal government is hopeful that this investment will provide employment to 2.5 lakh people of the state.
