Actress Rhea Chakraborty arrested in drugs case has been granted bail. The court reserved the judgment last week. Rhea who has been in jail for a month appealed to the High Court after the lower court rejected the application twice. On the other hand, the session court has extended Rhea's judicial custody for 14 days and till 20 October on Tuesday. Rhea was detained on September 8 by the NCB in a drug case that surfaced in connection with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant. The High Court is also likely to decide on the bail applications of Samuel Miranda and Showik Chakraborty.

The NCB has opposed Rhea and her brother Showik's Bail. The investigating agency said in an affidavit in the court that Rhea and Showik are active members of the drugs syndicate and in relation to several high society people and drug suppliers. Section 27A has been imposed on them, so they should not be granted bail. The NCB said that Rhea has confessed to buying drugs. She confessed that she had spoken to Miranda, Deepesh Sawant, and Showik to procure drugs.

According to media reports, the actress's lawyer Satish Manashinde had said in court that Sushant used to take drugs before Rhea came into his life. Sushant was addicted to drugs. Like Rhea, Shraddha Kapoor, and Sara Ali Khan have said that Sushant used to take drugs.
