Rohtas: Police have arrested 6 persons in connection with a 500-tonne bridge theft case in Bihar's Rohtas district. There is also an RJD leader involved. Police have also seized a gas cutter from them. SDPO Shashi Bhushan, who is heading the SIT set up for the investigation, said all of them are being questioned.  

According to the police, Arvind Kumar, a seasonal employee of the irrigation department, RJD leader Shivkalyan Bhardwaj, Chandan Kumar, Sachidanand Singh, Manish Kumar, Gopal Kumar have been arrested. Three people have been arrested. Police said that the goods of the bridge were transported from one place to another in the vehicle of Arvind, an employee of the irrigation department.   

In fact, a unique incident of theft was reported in the Rohtas district of Bihar on Saturday. The thieves who came here as fake officers disappeared in 3 days only a 60-feet-long and 500-tonne iron bridge. Interestingly, the thieves cut the bridge from the irrigation department personnel and stole the iron of it by stuffing it in vehicles. The entire incident took place at Amiyawar under the Nasriganj police station area. Here an iron bridge was built around 1972 on the Ara Canal Canal Canal. In 3 days, the same bridge was cleverly cut by the thieves and then its iron was stuffed in trucks and fled. Bulldozers and gas cutters were also used to cut this bridge.
