New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) Chief Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria is retiring in the coming few days. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has informed that Bhadauria took his last flight in a fighter aircraft as Air Force Chief on September 13. This means there is no possibility of him flying in any other fighter aircraft after September 13 and until he retires now.

Bhadauria will complete his two-year term as Air Force Chief on September 30 and retire. The Indian Air Force said, "Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria took his last flight on September 13 in a fighter aircraft as Air Force Chief at 23 Squadron, Halwara. His flying career started with the same Panthers squad MIG-21 and then ended at the same airbase and with the same squadron.''

Bhadauria's last flight comes amid a major overhaul of the Air Force as the names of the new deputy chief and two commanders-in-chief were announced on Friday. Air Marshal Sandeep Singh has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief of the Air Force. Singh will replace current Air Marshal VR Chaudhary, who will take over as the next IAF Chief on September 30.
