Chatra: Three persons including a girl and a woman were killed and seven others seriously injured when two tractors collided with a truck on Monday morning in Bakdiha village of Rajapur police station area. All of them have been admitted to Chatra Sadar Hospital for treatment. Both the tractors were involved in road construction work.

According to the information, the locals said that at around 8 a.m., two tractors carrying Alkatara and sand laden were on their way to work for road construction. Ten people were on board the two tractors. People said that the Alkatara-lada tractor was ahead while the sand-laden tractor was coming from behind. Meanwhile, the sand-laden tractor near the Backdiha bridge went unchecked and hit the tractor going forward. Both the tractors fell under the bridge after the collision. Three died on the spot.

At the same time Bhawanigarh. On sangrur-Patiala main road, a car near village Harditpura fell into a roadside drain. A 6-month-old girl in the car was killed in the accident. The Inspector said, Mithun Sharma, a resident of Budlada, along with his wife Shweta Sharma, daughter Charvi, niece Axis and Shubh, were on their way to Panchkula from Budlada in a car. Gemini Sharma, near village Harditpura, suddenly fell into a drain after a sudden nap, killing a six-month-old charvi on the spot.
