Andhra Pradesh: Singanamala MLA from Anantapur district Jonnalagadda Padmavati was returning from ISKCON temple at Somuladoddi in Anantapur suburb when her car met with an accident on Wednesday night. According to Anantapur Rural CI Muralidhar Reddy, MLA Jonnalagadda Padmavati narrowly escaped a major accident when another vehicle hit her car from behind the car she was traveling in.

In the incident, the MLA's car was slightly damaged while the front part of the car which collided with the MLA's car was damaged. As the MLA's vehicle turned towards the national highway at Somuladoddi, a speeding Ford Figo car came from behind and rammed into it. Thankfully there was no danger to the MLA. Both the cars were damaged in the accident.

MLA Jonnalagadda Padmavati was accompanied by the driver and the gunman in the MLA's vehicle, while the Ford Figo vehicle had two persons accompanying the driver. During this, the front part of the Figo vehicle got crushed. However, the passengers escaped safely as soon as the inside airbags were opened. Anantapur Rural Police has registered a case regarding the incident.
