Flood-like situation has come due to terrible rains in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. Due to heavy rains, city-wide roads have been submerged in water, many colonies and low-lying areas have been submerged. The rainy season will continue. Red alert has been issued in Ajmer, Bhilwara and Rajsamand.

The weather department has declared a red alert for heavy rains in three districts of the state on Friday. Orange-yellow alert has been declared in 23 cities. Heavy to very heavy rains may occur at many places in eastern Rajasthan and the department has also issued a red alert regarding this. Moderate and heavy rain can occur from 14 to 17 August in Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dhaulpur, Dungarpur, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Sikar, Sirohi, Tonk, Udaipur, Churu, Kota, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawaimadhopur, Nagaur, Pali and Jalore.

According to the information received from Jaipur center in the weather department, with the coming of the monsoon axis line, the weather department has predicted good rain for the next two weeks due to circulation and low pressure area. There will be a possibility of strong southwest winds from Arabian Sea during two to three days. Due to several seasonal changes, the weather department has assessed good rains.
