New Delhi: Robert Vadra, the son-in-law of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, was questioned by the Income Tax Department team on Monday and Tuesday in the Benami property case. Speaking about this inquiry, Robert Vadra said on Wednesday that I have always followed the notice given by ED and Income Tax. Whatever their questions were, I answered them all.

Robert Vadra said that the Income Tax Department team has taken 23 thousand papers from my office, I have not stolen any tax. All taxes paid. I would say that this is oppression. They are asking me again and again. Before his inquiry, I gave him everything. On the first day, he inquired for 9 hours, yesterday he made me sit for 5 hours. Robert Vadra said that 'I answered and explained every question to him. I did not go to the Income Tax Department office, because Corona is the time of the epidemic. I have to protect myself and my family.'

Vadra said that all my business is transparent from Bikaner to Moradabad. The Income Tax Department had questioned him about the Faridabad and Bikaner land scam. It is alleged that Robert Vadra's company bought land in Bikaner for a lower price, which made a profit by selling it at a higher price. The Enforcement Directorate is also investigating a related matter, where money laundering has been alleged. Robert Vadra is currently on anticipatory bail.
