Rod Daniel,the fame director of "Teen Wolf' dies at 73

Rod Daniel, the filmmaker, who directed a young Michael J Fox in the 1985 fantasy-comedy "Teen Wolf”, has died at 73, today on April 20, 2016 at his Chicago home.

Rod began his Hollywood career in television, where he produced and directed various episodes of the CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati.

Daniel also helmed episodes of other television series, including "Newhart," "Caroline in the City," "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Magnum, PI". He made his debut with "Teen Wolf" and went on to direct films like "The Super" starring Joe Pesci, the Kirk Cameron-Dudley Moore body-swap comedy "Like Father Like Son," "Beethoven's 2nd" and the made-for-TV "Home Alone 4."

He retired from filmmaking in 2003 and survived by his wife Marti, whom he married in 1968, children John and Lucas and grandson Ethan.
