The late Union Minister Arun Jaitley son Advocate Rohan Jaitley was elected unanimously as the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) president. Only two persons has filed nomination for the post within the deadline. One is Advocate Rohan Jaitley and the other one is Advocate Sunil Kumar Goel.

Of the two nominations filed for the post, the advocate kumar has withdrawn his nomination. The withdraw by another person made Rohan Jaitley as the president single handed. The official announcement will be made on November 9. The deadline to withdraw the candidature expired on Saturday afternoon, following which the Returning Officer Navin B. Chawla has declared the final list of candidates. However, for the posts of treasurer and four directors, election will be held between November 5 and 8. On November 9 the votes will be counted and the results will be declared the same day.

Advocate Jaitley, 31 years old, has no prior  experience of cricket administration, but he says "it's not going be tough". When asking about his duties in the Association, he said other than the developmental activities the financial aspects will be made clear and more transparent. It will be made open. with no grey areas, financial history will be maintained. It will be uploaded on the DDCA website, made available to public.
