Hyderabad: A 29-year-old Rohingya man has been arrested in Hyderabad on Wednesday. He was presenting himself as an Indian. For this reason, he has been arrested for illegally obtaining voter identity card and Aadhaar card and other ID certificates. Police has given information about this case. The Hyderabad Police has issued a press release.

In it, he said that the accused gave money for this to a local person, who works at an online service center here. With this, illegally hiding his personal details and original nationality, filling the wrong details, and got the documents made. The press release issued also stated, 'Rohingya came to India in 2009 after coming to Bangladesh from Myanmar and stayed in Jammu and Kashmir'. The police also said, 'after that in 2011, he left for Hyderabad. He got his name registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).'

He has also kept the UNHCR card and at the moment he is working as a laborer. The police say, 'He took advantage of all the welfare schemes launched by the government for poor Indians.' It is being told that the police has seized the voter ID card and Aadhaar card from the accused besides the UNHCR card.
