Dominica: The men in blue will play two Test matches against West Indies in their upcoming assignment, which is set to begin this week. The Test games are a part of the ICC World Test Championship, which runs from 2021 to 2023.

The West Indies' 2023 tour of India will be a crucial test for both teams. West Indies will want to climb the international rankings, while India will try to maintain its hegemony in Test cricket.

The Indian team appears to be having fun and is in a good frame of mind, as was demonstrated during a recent training session in Dominica when vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane responded to a reporter's question by saying that he still doesn't consider himself old.

Later, Rohit Sharma assumed the role of Rahane's reporter and questioned him on batting in the Caribbean and a piece of advice for the team's younger players.

“My message for all youngsters is it is essential to have patience as a batter,” said Rahane.

“It is also important to focus on the ground and not get distracted,” he added.

Rahane also said that he still has a lot of cricket ahead of him, and he is enjoying his batting.

“I am still young. There’s still a lot of cricket in me,” he said.

“I had a good IPL and domestic season. I have grown in confidence as a batsman, but in the past one and a half years, I have also worked a lot on my fitness.

“I have worked on a few aspects of my batting. At the moment, I am enjoying my cricket. I am not overthinking about the future. For now, every match is important for me,” he added.
