Rohit Sharma has scored his third century in the current ICC World Cup. He played a century against hosts England in Birmingham on Sunday (30 June) and it was his 25th ODI century of his career. Indian cricket opener Rohit Sharma has also equalled AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and Kumar Sangakkara for scoring a century in ODI cricket. There are now only five players in the world who have scored more centuries than Rohit Sharma. These include the names of  Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.

England scored a huge 337 runs on Sunday at Birmingham. From Indian side, Rohit Sharma played a brilliant inning of 102 runs on 109 balls. Rohit scored 15 fours in his innings. But Rohit did not hit a single six in this innings and this is the first time Rohit scored a century and it did not include a single six. Not only Rohit but only a six from the entire Indian team came in the 50th over.

Rohit Sharma scored his 25th century in his 212th game and Rohit had earlier scored an unbeaten 122 runs against South Africa in the same World Cup. He also scored 140 runs against Pakistan. This is his third century in this World Cup.
