New Delhi: The Indian cricket team will start its three-match ODI series against England at home today under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. The first match will be played at the Oval in London today. In this series, Team India captain Rohit Sharma has a golden opportunity to make a big record in his name.

If Rohit scores a single century in the three-match series, he will break a unique record of South African legend AB de Villiers and former Pakistan cricketer Saeed Anwar along with Sachin Tendulkar, popularly known as the Master Blaster. They hold the record for most centuries in a single country (abroad). Right now, Rohit, Sachin, de Villiers and Anwar have scored equal 7-7 centuries while playing in one country (abroad). Rohit has scored all these centuries on English soil. While Sachin and Anwar have scored their 7 centuries in UAE. At the same time, de Villiers scored his centuries while playing on Indian soil.

If Rohit scores a single century in this entire series while playing on English soil, he will become the first cricketer in the world in terms of this record. Let me tell you that, Rohit Sharma also has many more big records in his name. He is the only player to score the most three double centuries in the world in ODIs. Rohit has set this record by playing innings of 264, 209 and 208 not out in ODIs.
