  Indian ODI team vice-captain Rohit Sharma targets critics after completing the compulsory Yo-Yo Test successfully to join the team today. For the UK tour, the players of the one-day team gave the yo-yo test on June 15, in which questions were raised on the non-involvement of Rohit.

In the Yo-Yo test last week, all players except Ambati Rayudu were successful, including captain Virat Kohli and former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Rohit had obtained permission to participate in this test on June 15 due to personal commitment. BCCI general manager (Cricket Operations) Saba Karim said that it was not mandatory for Rohit to give the Yo-Yo test on June 15 as he had already got the approval. Today, Rohit informed the social media that he had passed the test today at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore.  Rohit also targeted a section of the media that questioned his fitness.

He tweeted that "Where I spend my time and no one has the right to intervene in this regard. By the time I follow the rules, I have the right to spend time in my own way. Discuss the real issues. I would like to tell some channels that I got an opportunity to succeed in Yo-Yo test which was today." 

Earlier, in the event of BCCI failing to qualify for the Yo-Yo Test, the team's vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was asked to be prepared as an alternative. In the Test team in the recent days, Mohammed Shami and ODI
