Former Indian Test batsman Wasim Jaffer has made a big statement after India's exit from the ICC World Cup-2019. He believes that captaincy of the ODI and T20 team should be hand over to India's opener Rohit Sharma.
Jaffer tweeted on Saturday, "Is it the right time for hitman Rohit Sharma to handle the captaincy of the ODI and T20 team now?" he further wrote, "I would like him to captain India in the 2023 World Cup."
India had lost to New Zealand by 18 runs in the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2019 and the team was out of the tournament. After India's exit from the World Cup, the fans are also very much disappointed and they want Rohit to be the captain of the ODI team now.
Let us inform you at the moment that Rohit is the vice-captain of the Indian team and has recently returned to Mumbai from England. Rohit has been spotted with his wife and daughter at Mumbai airport. However, the other players from Team India will leave for India today from England.
