Rohit Shetty clarified that Golmaal 4 is not a remake of Soodhu Kavvum

Bollywood director Rohit Shetty confirmed that his next film Golmaal will not be remake of the tamil black comedysoodhu Kavvum of 2013 which was directed by Nalan Kumarasamy and featured Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles.

Rohit Shetty told media that, “Though I have the rights of the Tamil film Soodhu Kavvum, I want to clarify that Golmaal 4 is not a remake of that. I will make Soodhu Kavvum later.” So there you have it straight from the director’s lips – that his next is Golmaal 4 and it’s not a South remake.

Also, an inside sources revealed that, “Rohit and his team have been working on an original script for the last few months. He started work immediately post Dilwale. They start shooting for Golmaal 4 from October this year. It’s a project that is very dear to Rohit as he has put in a lot of hard work in it. The script is funny and emotional with dollops of action and drama. When Ajay Devgn heard the script he loved it!”
