Veteran television actor Mithilesh Chaturvedi, who has acted in films like Koi...Mil Gaya, Satya and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and TV shows like Neeli Chatri Wale and Kayamat, passed away due to a heart attack in his hometown Lucknow on August 3. The actor, who was transferred to Lucknow by his family who wished that he would gradually recover there, died of a heart ailment.

Mithilesh had also essayed different roles in the show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai. Rohitashv Gour says, "I didn't know Mithilesh from before but we got to know each other very well while working on ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai’. It was a wonderful experience working with him. He was a great soul."

He added, "He had come to Mumbai from a small city and one could see that he had not left his roots. He was still a person who would get emotional over small things. He would speak from his heart. Woh apne dil se sochta tha dimag se nahi... that was the best quality of him." Sometimes we used to advice him not to get so emotional and take everything in a serious manner. But I am happy we could work with each other on the show."

Confirming the death of the iconic actor, his son-in-law Ashish Chaturvedi wrote on his social media: "आप दुनिया के सबसे अच्छे पिता थे, आपने मुझे दामाद नही बल्कि एक बेटे के तरह अपना प्रेम दिया, भगवान आपकी आत्मा को शांति प्रदान करे" (You were world's best father, you have not treated me as your son-in-law but adored me just like your own son, rest in peace).

Mithilesh Chaturvedi was last seen in Hansal Mehta's super hit series, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, where he essayed the role of the popular lawyer, Ram Jethmalani. The maker of the film expressed his grief by sharing Chaturvedi's photo on his Instagram and folded hands' emojis. He first earned recognition with Ram Gopal Varma's film, Satya. Apart from these films, he acted in Asoka, Koi...Mil Gaya, Aks and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha among others.
