Royal Enfield, a mid-size motorcycle manufacturer, has opened a domestic assembly and CKD factory in Thailand. According to the Company, the unit was established in collaboration with GPX.

"In addition to the three state-of-the-art production facilities in Chennai, India, the company now has three local CKD (completely knocked down) units in Argentina, Colombia, and Thailand," the company stated in a statement. In addition to serving Thai customers, the assembly plant will serve as a distribution hub for all other nations in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and Vietnam, according to the business. "Beginning this month, the plant will begin domestic assembly of the Himalayan, Interceptor 650, and Continental GT 650 models.

"Since Royal Enfield's market entry in 2015, Thailand has been an important market for the brand." Royal Enfield is now among the top five players in the premium, mid-size motorbike sector in markets such as Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and Korea, having achieved substantial achievements in the country and the APAC region," the company stated.
