New Royal Enfield Himalayan will be launched in March 2016. Sources of the company reviled this on carandbike.com. There is no confirmation of the price yet but approximately 1.5 Lakhs.

 This bike  powered by all new 411cc single cylinder, air cooled engine producing 24.5bhp power at 6500rpm and 32Nn of torque at 4500rpm and overhead cam.

This is the first Royal Enfield bike engine which will be moving away from push road architecture instead having overhead cams.  The new engine will also have longer service intervals- with  10000km between oil changes.

It has 21-inch spoked front wheels and 17 inch  rear wheels with 220 mm of ground clearance. With the suspension travel of 180mm it is first RE with monoshock rear suspension.

This Royal Enfield addresses an all new segment of adventure tours  in India also the first affordable adventure tourer in the Indian market.
