India's powerful vehicle manufacturer Royal Enfield is all set to bring in a low-cost bullet. Reports say the new bike will be based on Bullet 350 and will be used only on the existing platform. The company is likely to launch the affordable Royal Enfiled Bullet 350 in the next one to two months. Vinod Dasri, CEO of the company, recently said, "We will introduce new motorcycle variants in the coming months to expand our product range and make it easier for our customers to reach these products. The variant mentioned by Dasari will be the cheapest motorcycle ever in the company's lineup, reports said.
The new variant, based on Bullet 350, will have a separate fuel tank badge and black treatment in other places, including engines and indicators, as compared to the current bullet model. Most of the places in the bullet contain chrome in this variant. The new variant also offers bright colour options like the Thunderbird X. This new variant of the bullet is expected to get spoke weals with tube tires. This variant will come in both kick start and electric start options. Mechanically, the bike will be similar to the Bullet 350, which comes with a 350cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. Reports say a similar 500cc version will also come.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is priced at Rs 1.21 lakh and the Bullet 350 ES (Electric Start) is priced at Rs 1.35 lakh. No information about the price of the new variant has come to light yet. However, it is believed to be priced around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.10 lakh. This can speed up the company's sales.
