On WWE this week at Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns could be making his first appearance. Bryan Alvarez, on Wrestling Observer Radio, said that Reigns was mentioned on the show. Dave Meltzer also noted that it’s possible for Roman to make an appearance, that has further added to the speculation if Roman will be on Royal Rumble. Meltzer said that “Not that I’m aware of. I mean, I suppose it’s possible. I mean he could come. It’s not like he’s confined to a hospital bed or anything like that. The last I heard he was training in Hawaii so he’s not at home or maybe he is now, but he wasn’t last week,”

this will be Reigns first appearance on WWE since October, Reigns has been out of action since October 2018 after he announced that he is suffering from leukaemia. The Universal Champion at that time Reigns had to give up his title and also had to take a break from WWE. Since October, he has not appeared on any of the WWE shows and if he comes back on Sunday, Reigns has made two public appearances since then. He attended a football match in November while a few days back, he was with professional boxer Joseph Parker and also posed for a selfie with him.
However, if Reigns comes at Royal Rumble, he is not expected to take part in an in-ring match as he is still undergoing the treatment for leukaemia and has not been declared fit to actively take part in matches. However, his appearance on the show will be the best sight for his fans who haven’t seen him on WWE for three months now.
It remains to be seen whether WWE has Wrestlemania plans for Reigns or not. If declared fit by then, he could also take in a match at the event. The future appearances of Roman on WWE totally depends on his fitness and whether he would be cleared to take part in matches.
