Durg: Hindu organizations have accused Shri Venkateshwara Talkies, present in Bhilai of Chhattisgarh, of promoting Christian conversion. It is alleged that an advertisement promoting Christianity was being run in the interval due to the performance of SS Rajamouli's film 'RRR'. Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal gheraoed the theatre after receiving the news. The matter was settled after the manager of the cinema hall made a written apology. The matter is of Wednesday (30 March 2022).

According to the news received, the film 'RRR' is going on in Sri Venkateswara Talkies. Hindu organizations allege that a 5-minute advertisement is told after the interval in the film. It is said in it that 'everyone will have to come to the shelter of Jesus one day'. Hindu organizations demonstrated against this.

According to a Hindu organization worker, “Christianity was being propagated in the talkies. We have warned that talkies will be closed if Christian conversion is propagated again. Talkies Management has apologized to us. He said that if this happens again, we will accept whatever action we will take. It is being said that the news of the protest was already given to the administration. Due to this, a heavy police force was deployed in the security of the talkies. According to Rakesh Joshi, CSP of Bhilai City, “The manager of Talkies has apologized in writing and has expressed approval for not running this advertisement again. This whole incident has now come to an end."
