Chennai: Over 100 HDFC customers in Tamil Nadu suddenly got crores of rupees into their accounts on Sunday. According to the information, 100 bank accounts linked to the T Nagar branch of HDFC Bank received Rs 13-13 crore in each account. That means, suddenly 1300 crore rupees came into the bank accounts of 100 people. However, the happiness of these 100 people who suddenly became millionaires did not last long. In this regard, the bank issued a statement saying that due to a technical snag on May 29, money suddenly came into some accounts of some branches of HDFC Bank in Chennai.
According to the bank, within a few hours, this technical problem was solved. According to the bank, on the morning of May 29, there was some technical snag while updating the software under maintenance, which led to a sudden loss of crores of rupees in the accounts of people present in some branches of the bank. The bank is now ascertaining whether the extra money deposited in the accounts has been withdrawn or not. According to V Sanjeev, director of Vellore International School in Chennai, he has an account with HDFC bank's Besant Nagar branch. V Sanjeev said that there were 3.1 crore deposits in his account. On Sunday, when he opened his account through net banking, he was surprised, because there was more money in it than the amount in his account.
Sanjeev said, "I understood that it was due to some technical snag. He said that the money had come into the account, but there was no mention of the source from where this money came from. According to V. Sanjeev, even after logging in again for a while, it was showing more money, but by evening everything was fine. According to bank officials, the matter was resolved by late Sunday evening and all accounts were allowed to transact.''
