Guwahati: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Chief (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat said the amended Citizenship Act (CAA) is not a law made against a citizen of India. The citizen of India, the Muslims, will not be harmed by CAA. He said that after the partition of the country, an assurance was given that we will take care of the minorities of our country. We are following that to date, but Pakistan has not done so.

Mohan Bhagwat further said, "no Muslim will have any problem with CAA. CAA and NRC have nothing to do with the Hindu-Muslim divide; It was communalized for political gains.'' At the same time, he said, "Since 1930, there have been systematic attempts to increase the Muslim population, the idea was that the population would increase and establish its dominance and then make this country Pakistan. This idea was about Punjab, Sindh, Assam, and Bengal, in some quantities it came true, India was divided and Pakistan was made. But it didn't happen as it wanted to be done."

Addressing an event in Guwahati, the RSS Chief further said, "We do not need to learn secularism, socialism, democracy from the world. It's in our traditions, in our blood. Our country has implemented them and kept them alive."
