Mumbai: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat has reportedly expressed disagreement over Hindutva issues at events organised under the banner of Dharma Sansad. Mohan Bhagwat has said that the words emanating from the Dharma Sansad were not in accordance with the definition of Hinduism and Hindutva. If there is one thing to be said in anger at any point of time, it is not Hindutva.

Speaking at an event in Mumbai, the RSS chief said people who believe in RSS and Hindutva do not believe in such things. In fact, in December last year, an objectionable statement was made about Muslims in the Dharma Sansad held in Haridwar, while in the Dharma Sansad held in Raipur, derogatory remarks were made about Mahatma Gandhi. The RSS chief said that Veer Savarkar had talked about the unity and organisation of the Hindu community, but he had said this while referring to the Bhagwad Gita, not in the context of eliminating or harming anyone.

Is India on its way to becoming a Hindu Rashtra'?? To this question, the RSS chief said that it is not about creating a Hindu Rashtra. Whether or not one accepts it. It is a Hindu nation. The nature of our Constitution is Hindutva-centric. It is the same as the spirit of the integrity of the nation. Social equality is not necessary for national integrity. Variation does not mean separation.
