Nagpur: Addressing volunteers on the occasion of Dussehra, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said that there is no threat to anyone from the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said there has been a conspiracy to mislead the Muslim community in the country. Speaking at the Vijaya Dashmi programme in Nagpur, Mohan Bhagwat said, "We saw demonstrations against CAA in the country which created tension in the society.

The union chief said that people who come to India who are victimised by communal reasons from some neighbouring countries will be granted citizenship through this CAA. Those neighbouring countries in India have a history of communal torture. This Citizenship Amendment Act of India does not oppose any particular community. The RSS chief said there was no threat to the Act for those who are citizens of India. If someone comes from outside and wants to become a citizen of India, there are provisions.

Union chief Mohan Bhagwat said that even after that, some opportunists started opposing the law and created an atmosphere that the number of Muslims in this country has not increased, so the law has been enacted. The opposition to the law then started. Tensions prevailed in the country.
