Jaipur: Top leaders of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are scheduled to meet in Jaipur next month to witness violent protests over the Gyanvapi mosque complex case and alleged derogatory remarks made by suspended Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Nupur Sharma on Prophet Mohammad. In fact, during a televised debate on 28 May, BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammad and party leader Naveen Kumar Jindal tweeted some controversial comments on 1 June. Amid outrage over the remarks, the BJP had suspended Sharma and expelled Jindal from the party.

Due to this statement of BJP leaders, about 15 Islamic countries including Oman, United Arab Emirates and Indonesia started a diplomatic ruckus expressing displeasure. The Indian government later issued a statement, stating that the comments of people defaming religious personalities do not in any way reflect the views of the Indian government. Let us tell you that in protest against the remarks of BJP leaders, there was fierce violence by Muslims across the country, in which two people lost their lives and many were injured.
