Guwahati: Recently, most parties voted in favor of the Citizenship Amendment Bill in Parliament, except two parties in the Northeast. Despite this, especially in Assam, protest and violence is not taking its name. The government believes that NRC is the reason for the ongoing violence and protests, especially in Assam. Those who oppose include elements whose name has not been mentioned in NRC. Whereas the second category is the one that it believes will affect the local identity and importance of citizens due to the citizenship left out of NRC.

According to the information, let us tell you that 19 lakh people could not make a place in the NRC released on 31 August this year. Among them, the major population is of Muslims while the number of Hindus is also not less. After the passage of this bill, about 7 failed to make a place in NRC.

The path of citizenship for Hindus will become easier: It has been learned that the agitation abroad on the bill has increased the concern, the alerts to the missions for diplomatic contact, the government is worried about the citizenship bill reaching out of the country. To deal with the situation, the government has alerted its missions located in major countries to start diplomatic dialogue with them. The government plans to satisfy angry countries about the relevance of this bill through missions. The government was not worried about Pakistan's response. Meanwhile, the government came into action after the Bangladesh ministers postponed their visit to India. Then, after Pakistan's diplomacy to unite Muslim countries against this bill, India decided to open a counter front.
