The rupee went down 7 paise at 68.23 against the US dollar in the morning today.The BSE Sensex opened almost flat at 27238.35, while the 50-share Nifty index opened 9.40 points down at 8,390.95. Rupee was trading 8 paise down at 68.24 against dollar.
As per the reports, According to Nirmal Bang Commodities, the local currency is expected to trade with a sideways to up movement during the later part of day. It is likely to trade in the range of 68.20-68.48.
On friday, The currency fell by 8 paise to close at 68.16 against the US currency.
