Monday;June 13, 2016:The rupee again hit the 67-mark alongside the USD following plunging 24 paise in today’s early trade on sustained demand for the American currency from importers and bankers during a lower opening in the domestic equity market.
As per the dealers said, “The dollar was firm adjacent to some universal currencies which also weighed on the rupee”.
On the Friday, the domestic currency ended 5 paise lower at 66.76 a dollar on persistent require for the USD from banks and importers and weak point in equities.
However, the benchmark BSE Sensex floor by 263.24 points or 0.98 % to 26,372.51.
