In early trade today, the rupee started trading week by 23 paise to 64.08 against the US dollar.
Meanwhile, industrial output growth slipped to 2.7 per cent in March, based on the new series with the revised base year of 2011-12.
BSE Sensex benchmark moved 165.90 points, or 0.55%, to 30,354.05 in early trade.
