In the early opening trade today the rupee opened nearly 6 paise higher at 66.75 against the dollar. The domestic equity market also opened in green.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 80 points, or 0.28 per cent, up at 28,912.96 in early trade, while the 50-share NSE Nifty index was up 26.50 points, or 0.30 per cent, up at 8,924.05. 

On Friday, the closed 11 paise down at 68.81 against the dollar. “USDINR spot is expected to depreciate as looming concerns of a US rate hike in this month will prompt the traders to invest in dollar-denominated assets.” as per the sources news Angel Broking said.
