May 10,2016: Mumbai, The rupee was inferior by 12 paisa at a fresh two-week low of 66.70 against the USD in today on hiked demand for the American money from traders.
As per the dealer said, “Further, strength in the US dollar against other external currencies and a inferior opening in domestic equities also kept pressure on the domestic unit”
On Yesterday’s, trade rupee ended lower by 4 paisa, hitting 2-week low of 66.58 on fag end dollar demand from banks and importers during bigger greenback in the overseas markets,against a sharp recovery in domestic equities.
However, the benchmark BSE Sensex fell by 34.71 points, or 0.13 %, to 25,654.15 in early trade.
