Rupees hiked up 9 paise against dollar in early trade

tyle="text-align: justify;">Friday, in early trade Rupees continues to hiked up for the third day by 9 paise to 67.43 against the US dollar on sustained selling of the American currency by banks and exporters.

Dealers said, “strong foreign fund inflows and a higher opening of the domestic equity market gave the local unit more strength”

The rupee had firmed up 16 paise to close at 67.52 yesterday.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex reclaimed the 27,000-mark by surging 220.29 points, or 0.81 per cent, to 27,220.01 in early session.
