Kiev: One and a half years have passed since the war between Ukraine and Russia, but neither of the two countries is willing to back down. Meanwhile, Ukraine has made a big allegation that Russia has attacked the Kakhovka Dam built here. The dam has been broken in this attack and can cause devastating destruction. Ukraine says that thousands of people will be displaced due to this devastation and many areas may be submerged. Ukraine has said that the nuclear power plant will also be damaged due to this flood. Ukraine's interior minister said on Tuesday morning that the Kakhovka Dam on the Nieper River in the southern part of the country has been attacked.

The Ukrainian minister said the attack had caused the dam to break and water had begun to fill the surrounding areas. People from about 10 villages have been asked by the Home Ministry to leave. Apart from this, a large number of people will also have to flee the house in nearby Kherson town. Earlier, the Ukrainian government had said that if the dam breaks, then 18 million cubic meters of water will come out. This will flood many surrounding areas including Kherson. It will cause a major catastrophe and thousands of people will have to leave their homes.

At the same time, citing experts, Ukraine has said that the breakdown of the dam will be like a nuclear attack for it. At the moment, President Volodymyr Zelensky called a meeting on Tuesday, in which the situation has been reviewed. In the past, Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of attacking each other's dams. In October 2022, Zelensky said That Russia could attack his dam, so that floods could be brought. The dam was occupied by the Russian army and they say that we did not do this attack. Russia said that the attack on the dam was carried out by the Ukrainian army.
