Moscow: In a dramatic development, Russia announced on Friday that it successfully intercepted and neutralized a Ukrainian drone en route to Moscow.

The Russian Defense Ministry divulged that a Pantsir-S air defense system thwarted the drone near Naro-Fominsk, approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) from the capital city. The drone was reportedly carrying explosives, prompting the ministry to label it an "act of aggression by the Ukrainian military."

Curiously, Ukraine has yet to respond to Russia's assertions.
