Moscow: The coronavirus outbreak continues in Russia. More than a thousand people have been losing their lives every day for the past few days. A record 1,159 people have died of corona infection in Russia in the past 24 hours. During this time 40,096 new cases of corona infection have also been registered. The increase in new cases has led to authorities imposing partial lockdown (Lockdown) restrictions.

Unnecessary services in the Russian capital Moscow (Moscow) have been shut down for up to 11 days to deal with corona. A nationwide workplace shutdown will be implemented in Russia from the first week of November. Moscow has imposed a partial lockdown since Thursday. Orders have been issued in Moscow to shut shops, schools and restaurants for 11 days to prevent coronavirus infections and deaths after vaccination efforts halt.

All unnecessary services in Moscow, including schools and kindergartens as well as retail stores, restaurants and sports and entertainment venues, will remain closed until November 7. Shops selling only food, medicines and other essential items will remain open. More than 230,000 people have died of the coronavirus in Russia, thus joining countries severely affected by the Russian epidemic. But the authorities have shied away from sanctions such as lockdowns imposed in Western countries.
