According to the BBC, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has made yet another appeal to Western allies to help Ukraine and put an end to Russia's savage onslaught.

"We are defending our state alone, this morning. The world's most powerful forces are watching from afar, just as they were yesterday "In his address to the nation this morning, Zelensky remarked.  "Was Russia persuaded by the penalties imposed the day before? We can hear in the sky and see on the ground that this isn't enough "the reports add.

Multiple missile strikes reported before daybreak on Friday have been verified by Ukraine's president. The strikes began at 4 a.m. local time on Friday, said Zelensky. He went on to say that Russia's strikes had hit both military and civilian targets. According to the report, Russia has previously stated that it does not target people in its strikes.

This morning in Kyiv, there were several explosions, including what appeared to be a strike on a residential structure. In a video address to his compatriots, Zelensky once again calls to Russia for a truce.

"Russia will have to talk to us about how to terminate the conflicts and stop this invasion sooner or later," he said."The sooner we start talking, the lower Russia's losses will be." "We will be protecting our country until the attacks stop," he added.  He'd just warned about the capital's escalating onslaught last night. He stated that he had no plans to leave the capital and that he was aware that he was Russia's number one target at the moment.
