MOSCOW: According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russia's armed forces have destroyed air defence equipment delivered to Ukraine by a European country.
"High-precision sea-based Kalibr missiles destroyed the equipment of an S-300 anti-aircraft missile division that was given to Kiev by a European country on April 10," Russian Defense Ministry Spokesperson Igor Konashenkov said during a daily briefing on Monday.
According to the Xinhua news report, equipment previously stored in a hangar was destroyed in the southern outskirts of the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro.
Meanwhile, Russia's special military operation in Ukraine continues, with 129 aircraft and 99 helicopters, 243 anti-aircraft missile systems, 441 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,079 tanks and other armoured combat vehicles, 239 multiple launch rocket systems, 909 field artillery and mortars, and 2,003 special military vehicle units destroyed to date.
