According to recent information, people in Russia are being advised not to have sex for at least three days after getting vaccinated. This was stated by Dr. Denis Graifer Deputy Health Minister, Seratov region recently. It is he who has advised Russians not to do any more physical work after getting vaccinated.

Earlier, people here were asked to keep a distance from alcohol and cigarettes. You must know that Russia is among the countries where the vaccination rate is very low. So far, only 13 per cent of the people have been vaccinated against both doses. At a press conference here, Dr. Graifer said, 'Everyone knows that having sex takes a lot of energy. So we are warning people to stay away from physical activity like sex after getting vaccinated.' But Graifer's statement here has been widely criticized in the media.

Oleg Kostin, senior medical official here, said, "He doesn't mind Grefer's statement. You can do it carefully instead of completely stopping sex after getting vaccinated. It should not be too much." Talking about India, no such official guideline has been issued here after vaccination. But unicef has advised to take care of certain things after getting the vaccine done. UNICEF has also said that "any heavy physical activity should be avoided for 2-3 days after vaccination as the body recovers from the side effects of the vaccine during this period."
