One of the most famous temples of India is the temple of Sabarimala. Millions of people come here every day to visit. This temple is considered one of the largest pilgrimage places in the world, like Mecca and Medina. Ayyappa Swamy temple is a symbol of faith of crores of Hindus. Apart from this, there is Ayyappa Swamy Temple in Sabarimala in Kerala, South India. Sabarimala is named after Shabari, which is mentioned in the Ramayana. This temple is situated among 18 hills. Here is in a dham, which is called Sabarimala Shridharmashastha Temple.

Beliefs of sabarimala

Near this temple, a light appears in the dark darkness of Makar Sankranti. Crores of devotees from all over the world come every year to see this flame. It is said that whenever this light is seen, noise is heard along with it. Devotees believe that this god is a flame and God burns it himself. It has been named Makar Jyoti.

The arrival of women in this temple is strictly prohibited. The belief behind this is that the God who is worshiped here (Sri Ayyappa), they were Brahmachari, so girls and women from 10 to 50 years cannot enter here. Such small children may come to this temple, who may not have started their menstruation. Or such or old women, who may have become free from menstruation. The Sri Ayyappa worshiped here is called 'Hariharputra'. Ie is the son of Vishnu and Shiva. Devotees visiting here have to give up eating meat and fish two months in advance. It is believed that if a devotee arrives here by wearing a garland of Tulsi or Rudraksha and fasting, then all his wishes are fulfilled.
