Sabarimala Protests: Bombs Hurled at Homes of CPI(M) Leaders in Kerala, RSS leader attacked

New Delhi: Just few hours after a country-made bomb was hurled at the house of CPI(M) MLA AN Shamseer on Thursday night, CPI(M) workers hurled bombs at BJP MP V Muraleedharan’s house. police said that , no damages or any injuries were reported in the incident. Afterward, senior RSS leader Chandran was also attacked by CPM workers in Kannur. 

 

Kerala witnessed massive violence between the BJP and the CPI(M) workers and both the parties have accused each other of making violence in the Sabarimala state. The state saw widespread violence following hartal(strike) called by the right-wing outfits over the entry of two women in Sabarimala.

These attacks came at a time when the state is facing severe protest over the entry of two women of menstruating age into the hilly shrine Sabarimala, nearly four months after the Supreme Court  banned age-old restrictions on the entry of women into the holy place, as news agency ANI reported.

Meanwhile, after Bindu and Kanaka Durga visited Sabarimala, another woman from Sri Lanka entered the holy place yesterday but There was some initial confusion over her entry to the temple as she had stated that she turned back after Lord Ayyappa devotees restricted her path. The police, however, afterward released a CCTV footage in which Sasikala can be seen entering the temple complex.
