Amid the political tussle in Rajasthan, Congress rebel leader Sachin Pilot has said "I am not going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. After being expelled from the post of Deputy Chief Minister", the pilot told the press for the first time that, "I am not angry with Ashok Gehlot nor have demanded any special rights or facilities".

"I only wanted the promises made by the Congress to the people of Rajasthan at the time of elections. They should be completed soon. I have often put these matters before everyone. Also discussed with CM Gehlot. But when there was no meeting of ministers and MLAs, there was no place for debate and discussion".

"The state police handed me a summons of treason. It hurt my self-esteem". In an interview, pilot told that "On one hand, Gehlot is helping the former CM and on the other hand he is not giving me and my supporters a place to work in the development of Rajasthan. Officers were told not to follow my instructions, I was not being sent files. There is no meeting of the legislature party or cabinet for several months. What is the benefit of the post of Deputy Chief Minister if I cannot fulfil the promise made to the public. We waged a campaign against the lease of illegal mining by the Vasundhara Raje government and pressurized the then government to abolish these allocations. After Ashok Gehlot came to power he did nothing in this case and he too set out on the same path."
