Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is set to make ICC World Cup 2019 even more special by making his commentary debut during the England versus South Africa match on Thursday (May 30). The legeand will grace the commentary box in his very own segment ‘Sachin Opens Again’, where the iconic batter will shed light on the key moments of the match. Sanchin’s will have the privilege to listen to arguably the greatest batsman to have played the match.

ICC had named an elite 24-member commentators list for the ICC World Cup 2019 in which the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Harsha Bhogle, Ramiz Raja, Mark Nicholas, Brendon McCullum, Kumar Sangakkara, Michael Clarke, among others will grace the commentary box for the showpiece event.

Sachin still holds a handful of ICC World Cup records. In six editions of World Cup in which Tendulkar has played, the Master Blaster has amassed 2, 278 runs – the highest in World Cups. The Master Blaster also holds the record of scoring the most number of runs in a single World Cup edition. The right-handed batter had amassed 673 runs in 11 matches in ICC World Cup 2003, wherein India finished as runners-up.

Apart from that, Tendulkar has the most number of World Cup centuries – six  - while also holding the record of most 50+ scores – 21 – in World Cups.
